Sneak Attack Review (S1)

Family Friendly Rating: ★★★★☆

Sneak Attack Release Schedule: No Longer Releasing Total Episodes 156 Date Season Ended: May 29 2018 Average Run Time: 59 mins

Game System: D&D 5e Group/Cast Size: 4 players 1 DM Began: June 2016 What Makes it unique: Sneak Attack is credited by many of the Family Friendly Actual Play Podcast Creators as their Inspiration for starting a podcast, but why does everyone seem to stumble upon this podcast? It was Big! this means people who don't only listen to family friendly D&D pods might know what your talking about when you speak of sneak attack much more while they probably won't if you mention another one of these podcasts.

Sound Quality & Quality Improvement: Starts out with good editing and decent quality and over time Improves Improves to a high quality well edited format. Story Continuity: the story ties in all plot holes and has no risk of not ending because it is already finished, as for the content of the story the Campaign involves many different scenarios and eventually ties everything into one major event.

Music and Sound Effects: Even in The first episode there are some good quality sound effects, though ambiance music does not exist throughout all of the episodes it is placed to make scenes more dramatic.

Voice Distinctiveness: The players voices are easy enough to tell apart and the character voices are even easier.

Bonus Content: Backstories: whenever a new character is introduced shortly after there will be a backstory episode which lets you know more about the characters backstory episode is introduced in it's own format. End Q&A Character: At the end of Season 1 they ran a Q&A episode where they talked about everything leading up to the finish of that season.

Rules Understanding: Each player has a good understanding of how their character works and the type of rules they missed we're the sort that people were only able to call out months after unless they were very familiar with the specific feature. Social Connectivity Ease of Access: No longer active yet they have a fairly active Fan run discord.

Explanation of Rating: at first the players don't have a focus on the family friendly aspect of things it is only as they go on that they make a conscious choice to be fully family friendly, however despite not making the choice at the beginning there is still no cursing in the episodes.

.

Criticism Space To Improve: Because Season 2 Never Finished it would be nice if some sort of warning was inside the podcasts Feed Before the Start of Season 2 eg. This Season Was Never Completed.
